Billy's
Music Director Position | Posted March 15, 2007 |
|
>>
We
want you guys to join us in prayer about
something. It looks like Billy Buchanan will be
taking a staff position as the Music Director of
a great church in St. Augustine, Florida. This
is something he’s wanted to do for a long
time. Fusebox will remain together, but will
have to be more selective about their touring.
Much like Matt Redman, Mark Hall (Casting
Crowns), and Israel Houghton, Billy’s heart is
to write music for the church as a whole. This
position will allow him to do that and see
firsthand which songs resonate with the church.
Investing in young worship team members is also
a huge passion of Billy’s. He’ll be
overseeing the entire music department at the
church. This is a big decision for Billy and his
family. Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance. |

A
brand new Fusebox song called “Child of
God,” written by members Tim Braisted and
Billy Buchanan, has been chosen to be the theme
song for The National Youth Gathering, the
tri-annual Lutheran youth conference that takes
place July 29-31 in Orlando, FL. The song will
soon be available to download for free at www.lcmsgathering.com.
Our hope is that all the churches participating
will download the song and teach it to their
students prior to The National Youth Gathering. |

Fusebox
2007 Tour | Posted February 28, 2007 |
|
>>
At
the Lutheran National Youth Gathering in 2004,
Fusebox led worship for 38,000 participants.
Opinions were so high on the band that the
Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) is
bringing Fusebox back to lead worship at the
2007 Gathering in Orlando, Florida! In
anticipation of this event, Fusebox is touring
LCMS churches throughout the USA from December
2006 to June 2007. We are mainly doing Sunday
morning worship, and Sunday night and Wednesday
night worship concerts. We would love to bring
this tour to your church. The cost is very
affordable, and your congregation would really
be blessed by Fusebox’s music and testimony.
This is a great way to get students fired up
about The 2007 National Youth Gathering!! If you
or your church are interested in booking Fusebox
for this tour, email us at www.myspace.com/fuseboxmusic
or contact Jeff Roberts and Associates at www.jeffroberts.com. |

Worshiping
in WI and KS | Posted November 20, 2006 |
|
>>We’ve
had the privilege of leading worshiping at some
great conferences recently. Here’s a couple I’d
like to mention. We had an amazing time at the
Senior High School Convo in Madison, WI where we
saw over a thousand high school students
praising God each day. We also had a blast with
students in Topeka, KS at the LCMS District
Youth Gathering. There’s no greater joy to us
as a band then when we’re worshiping with
students throughout the country. |

New
Members | Posted November 20, 2006 |
|
>>Fusebox
is excited to welcome two new members. Tim
Braisted has joined the team as our new guitar
player/bass player. Tim also has an amazing
voice, and will be a great asset to the band. As
a missionary’s kid, Tim has lived in Costa
Rica and Peru. We also want to welcome to the
band Reggie Terrell. Reggie is an amazing
keyboard player and guitarist. Reggie and Billy
grew up together in Cleveland, OH. If
rehearsals, writing, and the first few shows are
any indication, this will be the best Fusebox
lineup yet.

It
was a great GMA 2005 for Fusebox. The week started off with

BarlowGirl, Joy Williams, Superchic[k], Out Of Eden, and Amy
Grant to name a few), in leading two thousand GMA
participants in a time of worship. The rest of the week was
filled with interviews, showcases, and time to catch up with
